One piece why did usopp leave

After successfully finding it out, she sought help from the crew and asked them to drop her off at Alabasta in exchange for riches. On their journey, however, the crew got extremely attached to both Vivi and her pet duck Karoo. Vivi officially became a member of the crew and together, they took down Crocodile and his organization at Alabasta. After the country was freed, Vivi eventually decided to stay behind and leave the crew in the hopes of meeting up with them in the future and sailing the seas once again.

To win him back, Sanji and Zoro had to win the next round, called the Groggy Ring, and they successfully did that despite only getting along for ten seconds.

Chopper's time away from the crew was a short one, however, had the crew lost to Foxy, he would very well have to stay as a crewmate of the Silver Fox forever. Although Usopp was initially planning on setting to sea all alone, Luffy and Zoro invited him aboard the Going Merry, making Usopp the sniper of the crew. At Water 7, unfortunately, the Going Merry was declared unfit for sailing any further, and Usopp's reluctance to let the ship go led to him leaving the crew.

All this was fuelled by his insecurity about not being powerful or useful enough to the crew and feeling inferior in terms of strength. Usopp fought Luffy, lost, and left the crew. After the events of Enies Lobby wrapped up, he apologized to Luffy and was invited back on the team once more. Nico Robin joined the Straw Hat Pirates at the end of the Alabasta arc because she wanted to die and Luffy chose to go against her decision and saved her life. Recognizing his weakness, Luffy sent a message to the other Straw Hats via newspaper.

Instead of meeting at Sabaody in 3 days as originally planned, they'd each take 2 whole years to refine their skills. When the matured Straw Hat crew eventually reunite, each character is exponentially stronger, with new techniques, new weapons, and new allies. Here's what Luffy and his friends did during this blank period, as well as where they went, who they met, and what skills they learned.

Following Ace's death, it was Rayleigh who suggested the 2-year training break, and offered to take Luffy as his student. Luffy and Rayleigh trained together on Rusukaina, an island dominated by powerful wild beasts near Amazon Lily. Under Rayleigh's guidance, Luffy learned how to use the three forms of Haki, having previously been unable to control the ability.

He gained mastery of Armament and Sensory Haki, while also discovering how to use his incredibly rare Conqueror's Haki at will. Combining these skills with his Gomu-Gomu Fruit, Luffy developed the Gear Fourth transformation, practicing on the island's animal population before being left alone for the final 6 months. To signal his determination, Luffy abandoned his famous Straw Hat during the training, only reclaiming it when ready to set sail, and often refused food if he couldn't complete Rayleigh's tasks.

Through flashbacks, it's also known that Rayleigh told Luffy about using Haki to read the future and the mysterious Voice of all Things technique. Zoro and Mihawk came to respect each other after the budding swordsman foolishly challenged Mihawk in East Blue and got thoroughly beaten, spurring Zoro to become stronger. Reuniting during One Piece 's time skip, Zoro begged his rival for training.

Whether due to curiosity, boredom, or the desire to find a worthy opponent, Mihawk agreed. During his two years of his training, Zoro learned how to infuse his swords with Armament Haki and strengthened his three-bladed technique. Honing his skills on the Humandrill beasts native to Kuraigana Island, Zoro was accompanied by former enemy Perona, who had also been sent flying by Bartholomew Kuma's paw. The biggest mystery from Zoro's time skip training is the fate of his left eye.

When Zoro landed on Kuraigana, he had two perfectly healthy, working eyes. By the time he left, one was permanently closed. Was this simply a training accident? Or does Zoro have a hidden power lurking behind his eye lid? Although Luffy didn't find his brother in the pits of Impel Down, he did discover Ivankov, a member of the Revolutionary Army and a close friend of his father. Ivankov escaped the prison at Luffy's side and joined him during the Summit War, before returning to his native Kamabakka Kingdom on Momoiro Island.

This is where things get questionable. Sanji is chased by Ivankov's okama followers, who want to see him dress in women's clothing. Despite having no desire to wear such garments, Sanji could recognize Ivankov's strength and made a bet with the Queen.

He says it's time for them to stop treating being pirates as a game, and that Usopp needs to learn to a lesson on not quitting so easily. Luffy understands Zoro's point, and agrees. Back in the present, Luffy is convinced at least outwardly that Usopp is not returning, but is certain they will run into each other again in the future. Meanwhile, Usopp is running through Water 7, eager to return to the crew and certain they'll welcome him back with open arms.

On the ship, Nami asks Luffy to wait just a little while longer, but a cannonball splashing in the water signals their time is up. Vice Admiral Garp has caught up with them.

Everybody, especially Luffy, is surprised that it's Garp attacking them. Garp uses a megaphone to hail his grandson. Garp apologizes for the change in situation, since he said previously he would let Luffy leave Water 7, but does say he will take care of the matter by himself.

With that, Garp uses his superhuman strength to hurl cannonballs at the ship far harder than a cannon would fire them, an attack he calls Genkotsu Meteor. He fires a warning shot that explodes on the shore by the ship, blowing it out into open water. Luffy's crew prepares to fend off the attack. Chopper sniffs the air, and senses that Usopp has arrived by the shore of Water 7. Usopp makes it to the shore above Scrap Island and runs through the gathered crowd to see what's going on.

Zambai asks him what he's still doing here. He looks up, and sees the new ship as it sails away. Usopp panics, not knowing why they'd leave without him after his help at Enies Lobby. They couldn't possibly have forgotten that he is really Sogeking, could they?
