Comment by Ithryn This page doesn't mention - you get 33 Justice Points per normal Cataclysm dungeon boss. Misleading, as if you can only get JP from normal runs via the 7 randoms per week cap. If you're at 85 and trying to get your item level up for heroics instead of trying to tank in PvP gear and making the rest of us rage!
The numbers above give the same ranking for normals, relatively, minus those that have no normal version. Halls of Origination would get you the most points at To get more bang for your buck, you should consider length.
Comment by jowwy There is actually a new heirloom staff. Its an agility staff most likely for druids and monks. Both Valor and Justice vendor, but if you didnt know they require faction unlocks. Comment by Is there a new Justice Trade Goods vendor?
Or, are these pretty much worthless now with only BoP gear that is really low ilvl? Comment by Smarter These figures are incorrect. As of 5. Comment by dewald OK I give up. How do you upgrade a Justice point purchased upgradeable armor item? Comment by As of this post, having just finished a Heroic Halls of Origination run, I can confirm that Cataclysm Heroics no longer award justice points for boss kills, only the dungeon completion.
Anyone considering farming JPs by using a level 85 twink-tank should be aware and probably look for alternate ways to farm JPs. Comment by xpuntar Urgh? Who ever thought at Blizz to make acquiring Justice Points so tedious and slow at lvl. And only for killing a MoP instance bosses? WTF I can get Valor points through dailies alone, yet for Justice I do need and it is actually mandatory to have enough time for group play for any instance runs either LFR or guild ones I actually made a mistake to upgrade the rare blue item instead of buying a an upgrade for my still uncommon green piece.
Never again! Comment by cheesemonster Don't rate me up for this; I'm only giving it its own post to improve visibility. Do, however, rate up 's comment on 's thread saying: just to state the obvious: epics cost valor to upgrade, rares cost justice Obvious now I've read it, not so much before.
Comment by taemobulok I might be wrong on this but I do not have rares anymore and lvl BOE is not useful to my alts. Does it mean I have nothing else to use JP anymore? If you do just the minimum that I am posting you can get Honor Points per day which can be traded in Honor Points for Justice Points. Do the following Grizzly Hills quests for 50 Honor Points each. Down With Captain Zorna! So once you hit , you'd better start hording those points because you'll be getting Justice pocket change until you hit 89, where you can earn points from heroic dungeon bosses.
Comment by Does Anyone know if you can trade in valor points for justice points? Comment by sidion Not getting 84 Justice Points per Cataclysm heroic dungeon boss kill? I asked GM about it. If you have ppl in your group with lvl 86 or higher you won't get any. You get JP just for dungeon completion. I hope this helps some ppl to figure out why the hell you are not getting JP :. Not getting any JP. Comment by wyndman Didn't see this mentioned anywhere, so I assumed it was added in at 5.
Comment by drezlythe As of 5. Comment by brownpaw Edit: Now updated for 5. I came here looking for a good, solid answer to "what do I do with my Justice Points once I've hit the cap and I no longer need them for new PvE gear or heirlooms?
Mounts 1. All of these vendors are in Dalaran. The pattern itself requires another four Frozen Orbs to make. It also requires Ebonweave, Spellweave, and Moonshroud, which require Eternals that can also be purchased from Frozo with more Frozen Orbs. Battle Pets 1. I'm not big on pet stuff myself, but from reading other comments it would appear that if you are a serious pet battler that these aren't very worthwhile because if your pet isn't rare then it isn't seriously competitive anyway.
Reputation 1. These can then be sold for 5g each. Starting with a full bank of JP, you could buy approximately 36 of these and turn around and sell them all for about g. Eternals might be good for leveling professions on alts, or making certain timeless recipes such as Jeeves , or even selling depending on your server's economy.
Thanks, Troelsy! Depending on your server's economy, various gems from previous expansions may be purchased and flipped for a profit. Togar Horde or Talric Forthright Alliance also sell various Cataclysm-level trade goods, though not at what I would call "good" prices. Check those out here. As of patch 5. If you've still got a piece of gear that's a little behind, you may check out this list of ilvl epics that used to cost Valor, but now cost JP in 5.
Note that most of these items have some sort of rep requirement, but that the requirement was also lowered in 5. I don't know why you'd ever want to do this with 1 being an option for likely much better gear, but you may be able to upgrade your current rare-level blue gear by 8 ilvls for JP per item at the ethereals in your faction's base in Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
This occasionally gets turned off on some patches, depending on content. Epic purple gear requires Valor Points to upgrade, not JP. You can trade in old heirlooms, along with a varying amount of JP, for a similar heirloom. You have to decide if it's worth it for the price though -- for example, you paid the JP for the original Tattered Dreadmist Mantle , and the upgrade costs that original item plus another JP just to get an additional 5 levels of experience boost In the example above, the upgrade did cost additional JP instead of the current !
Of course, you can get all sorts of old items for transmog from various vendors all over the place. You can then spend these points on special vendors in exchange for different types of armor and weapons. Of course, just like honor, there is a maximum limit of 4, JP per character in WoW. JPs earned beyond this 4, point limit will not be saved, so players are encouraged to spend these points when they are close to the limit so as not to let them go to waste.
So now you must want to know all the ways to get justice points. There are many ways to earn points. For example, a level 85 regular Cataclysm instance will award 30 JP per boss and each Heroic Cataclysm instance will award 70 JP per boss.
The first normal random daily instance you do at level 80 or higher will award JP and so on. Lower level players can also earn justice points by doing daily instances starting at level You get 12 JP per day randomly.
You can also make some Shattered Sun journals to get extra JP.
